Programs

Richie McFarland Children’s Center helps young children reach their full developmental potential through an array of programs and services. All RMCC programs are based on the family-centered model and a commitment to therapeutic excellence.

Our therapies are designed to “nip problems in the bud” before they become more complicated. Addressing risk factors in early childhood greatly reduces, and in some cases eliminates, the need for more intensive and expensive interventions later on in a child’s life.

Each of our programs offers therapies for the child and support and education for the entire family. Our clinical staff creates customized service delivery teams to ensure the most effective services for each family. Therapies include:

  • Speech and language therapy
  • Occupational and physical therapy
  • Enhancement of social play and cognitive skills
  • Family support and counseling

The majority of the children we serve are between the ages of birth to three years old. Some families choose to seek services from the public school system at age three. We will support them through the transition process. We also serve families with children older than three who would continue to benefit from further RMCC programs.
