You may have found the Richie McFarland Children’s Center because you’re looking for an educational playgroup for your preschooler. Or you may have concerns about your toddler reaching developmental milestones. Or you may have a young child with special needs. Whatever your reason, welcome to RMCC.
Naturally, you want the best for your child, and it’s not unusual to have concerns about your child and possible developmental delays. You may be wondering:
When should my child start walking?
Why can’t my child eat independently?
When should my child start interacting with other children?
Why can’t I understand what my child is trying to say?
And . . . what can be done to help?
As a caregiver, you know your child better than anyone, and he or she relies on you to make observations and take action when necessary. If you have concerns, trust your instinct and reach out for help. Don’t wait. Addressing concerns in early childhood greatly reduces and, in some cases, eliminates the need for more intensive and expensive intervention later on in a child’s life.
“We have been very grateful for early intervention and the assistance we’ve received from Richie McFarland! They helped our daughter catch up to other kids developmentally, and her therapist has also given us so much support, encouragement, and ideas to keep her going strong.”
Take a deep breath. You’re in the right place, and you are not alone.
